After receiving requests from the students of the university residences, headquarters 1, the Coordination of Food Services of Student Welfare of the Industrial University of Santander (UIS) delivered a complete set of kitchen utensils and fans.
“The student representatives of the residences made us aware of their needs. We reviewed the current contracts and adjusted the budget to make the management. We want to do more, but we are moving forward progressively. For now, with this high quality endowment, students will be able to use the kitchens in the residence halls and prepare their meals,” stressed Sandra Velasco Herrera, coordinator of Food Services at Bienestar Estudiantil.
The items delivered include utensils from recognized brands that also supply the university’s food services, guaranteeing high quality standards.
“We have delivered tableware complete with plates, cutlery, pressure cookers, blenders, frying pans and organizer boxes. All the products are from reliable companies, which ensures their durability and good performance,” detailed Velasco Herrera.
The reception of these items generated enthusiasm and gratitude to the University’s directives on the part of the students. “Having the residence hall service is already very valuable, but these additional benefits improve our quality of life. With this endowment, our daily routine will be more comfortable, which will undoubtedly contribute to our academic performance,” added Sebastián Castro, president of the Board of University Residents
The UIS reaffirms its commitment to the welfare of students, announcing that it will continue working on new strategies to continue providing the university residences with essential supplies.
