UIS Promotes Research and Scientific Training Through SimQM QO 2026

2026 Medicinal Chemistry and Organic Chemistry Symposium.

The School of Chemistry at the Industrial University of Santander (UIS) is hosting the third edition of the 2026 Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry and Organic Chemistry (SimQM QO), an academic event designed to showcase advances, research findings, and scientific contributions in these fields, while promoting public engagement with science and strengthening undergraduate research groups.

On Tuesday, October 27, and Wednesday, October 28, the program features lectures, talks, poster presentations, panel discussions, and other activities aimed at fostering knowledge exchange, academic dialogue, and the dissemination of scientific experiences.

The symposium will feature international speakers and researchers from Mexico, Panama, Chile, and Argentina, who will participate in various academic activities. Featured guests include Karen Ochoa from the University of Sonora; Johant Lakey from INDICASAT AIP; Flavia Zacconi from the Pontifical Catholic University; and Luis Cala from the National University of Rosario.

Undergraduate and graduate students from the School of Chemistry participated in the event.
