The wait is over for thousands of applicants. The Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) released the admission results for the second semester of 2026 on Friday, June 26, allowing prospective students to find out whether they have secured a place at one of Colombia’s most prestigious public universities.
A total of 3,933 applicants registered for this admission cycle, and 1,484 were admitted through the regular admission process. Meanwhile, the results for special admissions have not yet been released and are scheduled to be published on Wednesday, July 8, at 5:00 p.m.
Starting at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, applicants can check their admission results through the UIS admissions system, where they will find their application number, admission score, and ranking in the selection process.
Students who have been admitted should pay close attention to the next steps. The admission letter will be available for download starting at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30. This document is required to complete the enrollment process. In addition, the University will send each admitted student an email with detailed instructions.
Some programs will begin classes in 2027
The Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) announced that students admitted to the following programs:
- Biology
- Physics
- Nursing
- Medicine
- Nutrition and Dietetics
- Microbiology and Bioanalysis
- History and Archival Studies
will begin their studies during the first academic term of 2027. In November 2026, the University will send an official email indicating the date on which they can download their admission letter.

The official admission results are now available and can be accessed through the Universidad Industrial de Santander admissions portal.
With the publication of these results, thousands of young people are beginning a new chapter in their academic journey, while others continue to await the special admissions results or prepare for the next opportunity to gain admission to the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS).
