As part of the first UIS Research Seedbed Research Fair, organized by the Vice Rector’s Office for Research and Extension, the Cardiovascular research seedbed, attached to the Electrocardiography research group, led by Professor Oscar Leonel Rueda Ochoa, presented seven research papers.
At this event, held at the UIS-Floridablanca headquarters, the research group presented research papers related to new cardiovascular risk markers including systolic, glycemic and lipid blood pressure variability, cumulative effect of systolic blood pressure, thoraco-abdominal aortic diameters, the effect of intensive vs. standard blood pressure treatment and the association of statin use with the development of dysglycemia.
It is worth noting that all the projects presented correspond to the first project carried out by the new members of the 2024 cohort of the cardiovascular research seedbed.
