The renovated Natural History Museum of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) continues to generate a positive impact among the community of Santander. On this occasion, several journalists from regional media visited its modern facilities, concluding their tour with great admiration, a feeling that has been replicated in their respective news spaces.
“We saw it and found it spectacular, especially because it is backed by research, data and scientific facts from the university’s academic team. In addition, the acoustics and lights are impressive,” said Juan Carlos Ordóñez, regional director of Caracol Radio’s news service.

The communicators agreed that the museum is a clear example of the scientific progress of the UIS, as it articulates research in the field of biology with the latest audiovisual technology.
“I thought the synergy between biology experts and technology was great. This allows one to learn much more about the natural wealth of our department, which we must conserve,” said Julian Mejia, reporter for BLU Radio.
Finally, the visitors highlighted the importance of disseminating these spaces through their media, convinced that they contribute to strengthening the link between the community and science, especially in the new generations.
“It is a unique experience, highly recommended. I am already taking the proposal to my daughter’s school so that later she can come with her classmates to experience this magical and educational tour offered by the UIS,” said Maritza Cueto, reporter for Canal TRO.
