With the arrival of 212 new admissions, our university community continues to grow and consolidate itself as a reference in higher education in the Province. On February 3, 1,372 students from the on-campus, PreUIS, UIS Language Institute, distance and virtual modalities began their education at the Convento and Bicentennial Campuses, ready to take on new challenges in order to build their professional future.
2025 began with the commitment to strengthen the integral formation of our students. With an academic offer that includes Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Systems and Civil Engineering, in addition to the programs that begin and end at the Headquarters – Construction Engineering, Architecture and Tourism -, the UIS reinforces its commitment to educational excellence.
Julio Alfonso Martínez Molina, coordinator of the UIS Socorro Campus, highlighted the impact of the institution in the region: “our campus not only offers high-level academic programs, but also has two modern campuses, equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and a strong regional identity.
