This week, the Civil Engineering program of the Universidad Industrial de Santander will celebrate its 60 years of existence. For this reason, different activities have been scheduled to integrate current students, graduates, professors, administrative staff and other personnel who wish to participate.
“During these six decades our program has graduated more than 5,000 people, who, with the UIS seal of quality, have contributed significantly both locally, nationally and internationally. In addition, we have trained more than 800 postgraduates in areas such as: structures, management, water resources, environmental sanitation and geotechnics, and we are projecting ourselves into new fields, such as transit and transportation, with the goal of establishing a PhD in Civil Engineering in 2025,” expressed Miller Humberto Salas Rondón, director of the School of Civil Engineering.
