UIS faculty members learn about the services offered by UISALUD

With the aim of strengthening ties with the university community and raising awareness of its services, the Specialized Health Unit of the Industrial University of Santander, UISALUD, held an induction day for faculty members, during which the benefits and care model of the Unit were presented.

The activity took place on Monday, January 26, in the multifunctional room of the Bienestar Pro building, with the support of the User Services Office. During the meeting, faculty members were presented with the historical evolution of UISALUD, its institutional transformation process, and the implementation of a preventive model based on Primary Health Care, focused on risk management and the comprehensive well-being of users.

The current care models, the services available on site, and the benefits associated with the Full and POS plans were also explained, providing clear and detailed information about the coverage and operation of the Unit.

The event included a participatory space aimed at answering questions, addressing concerns, and promoting open dialogue with attendees. In this regard, Hermes José Ávila, deputy medical director of UISALUD, highlighted the positive outcome of the meeting and the active participation of the teachers. “The reception was very good; we saw a high level of interest on the part of the teachers in learning about our Unit and the process that has been developed. In addition, we left open the invitation for them to visit our facilities and clarify any doubts directly at our offices,” he said.

UISALUD will continue to develop these types of informational spaces, aimed at promoting awareness of its services, strengthening institutional trust, and ensuring timely access to clear and reliable health information.
