Dear University Community,
We are pleased to share the news that reaffirms the quality and academic strength of our institution: the Mechanical Engineering program (SNIES code 701) at Universidad Industrial de Santander, offered in person in Bucaramanga, has been granted the renewal of its high-quality accreditation for a period of eight (8) years.
This decision, adopted by the Ministry of National Education through Resolution No. 024423 dated September 4, 2026, recognizes the institutional commitment and efforts aimed at achieving excellence through the provision of high-quality academic programs and the full fulfillment of the social mission entrusted to us by society.
As a result of the accreditation granted, the official communication issued by the Ministry also provides for the renewal of the program’s qualified registration, in accordance with the terms established in the administrative act.
On behalf of the Rector’s Office, we express our gratitude and congratulations to the academic communities of the School of Mechanical Engineering of the Faculty of Physicomechanical Engineering for this achievement. We also recognize the work carried out by all members of the university community involved in this process and encourage them to continue moving forward in our commitment to education.
