With the goal of strengthening academic training and promoting the adoption of knowledge based on scientific evidence, the Industrial University of Santander will hold the seminar-workshop: “Education in Pain Neuroscience: Scientific Evidence and Practical Applications.”
This community outreach initiative will begin on September 7 and is aimed at students and healthcare professionals from both UIS and other institutions of higher education.
The seminar will consist of eight sessions, each lasting two hours, scheduled on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and aims to provide conceptual and practical tools for a comprehensive understanding of pain from a perspective grounded in scientific evidence.
The initiative is organized by the CPK Research Group, affiliated with the Pain Study Group of the UIS Physical Therapy Program, as a space for learning, professional development, and academic dialogue regarding advances in neuroscience and their applications in pain management.
Through initiatives such as this, the UIS reaffirms its commitment to training well-rounded professionals, disseminating scientific knowledge, and promoting university outreach, creating opportunities that help strengthen the capabilities of those working in the health field.
