The School of Law and Political Science of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) informs the inauguration of a new season of the Law Maus Chair, which will begin tomorrow, February 20. Under the title “A new ethics with non-human sentient beings, animal liberation”, this initiative seeks to promote debate and reflection on ethics in relation to non-human animals.
The inaugural session will be held in the Agora of the Virginia Gutiérrez de Pineda Building, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. This event will be free access for the university community and will be broadcast live via Facebook Live on the official UIS website, allowing a wider audience to participate in the conversation.
The Law Maus Chair is an academic space that seeks to integrate interdisciplinary perspectives and encourage critical analysis on rights and the need for an ethics that recognizes their capacity to feel. This year, the Chair promises to address issues of great relevance in the current context, inviting students, academics and interested citizens to join this important dialogue.
