With 426 points out of 500 in the Icfes test, the student Santiago Andrés Guerra Vera from the Escuela Normal Superior Francisco de Paula Santander in the municipality of Málaga, ranked the best score in the entire García Rovira province.
Santiago says that knowing how to manage time and anxiety was the key to obtain a good result in the state tests. He is 19 years old, likes numbers and solving mathematical problems.
“I like to study mathematics and also solve quizzes, which helped me to prepare myself throughout the year. I feel very happy and I always kept calm waiting for the results” added the student with the best Icfes in Garcia Rovira.
Santiago Andres wants to study the Economics program at the Universidad Industrial de Santander highlighting that it is one of the best universities in the country.
“For three years I have been clear about my inclination for economic sciences. I want to study this program at the UIS because it is a public university, one of the best in the country and ranked internationally,” said the young man.
The directors of the Escuela Normal Superior Francisco de Paula Santander, headed by the rector, Teresa Moreno, highlighted the good results of the institution in the state test, emphasizing the academic process led by the teachers with the student community.
The young man is grateful for the support of his parents Flor Elva Vera Sanchez and Carlos Antonio Guerra and his younger brother.
“Study what you like and take advantage of all the benefits that are currently offered” is the message that Santiago Andres sends to all young people so that they can effectively fulfill their dream of being professionals and what better than with the UIS seal.
