paz, Valledupar

The ‘Sounds of Tradition’ will take over the Ecopark of the Guatapurí River in the municipality of Valledupar, for the closing of the Sounds for Peacebuilding Program of Zone 7 in alliance between the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Knowledge and the Industrial University of Santander, UIS. The appointment is this Saturday, November 30 at 3:00 p.m., when more than 450 artists will begin to appear on stage to show their talent to the public.

Minute by minute the children, adolescents and young people who are part of the PSCP – UIS, will vibrate the Valduparenses to the rhythm of drums, band music, vallenatos and traditional music from the departments of Bolivar and Cesar.

“These artistic samples allow the students of the educational establishments where the Program is implemented, to be part and protagonists of an event with high quality standards arranged for them. The intention is that in this concert they show the artistic work they have built during the implementation of the PSCP – UIS in 2024,” said Paula Andrea Alvarado, Artistic Coordinator of the PSCP-UIS.

With this concert, the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Knowledge in alliance with the UIS culminates the work of implementation of the Sounds for Peacebuilding Program that was carried out during 2024, which in Zone 7 formed by the departments of Santander, Norte de Santander, Sur de Bolivar and Cesar reached 225 educational establishments and 98 municipalities, where 425 artists trainers and savants, through pedagogical moments, taught music classes to more than 43,000 children, adolescents and young people.

“We invite the entire community of Valledupar and nearby municipalities to join us to close with a flourish a year full of learning, experiences and above all a lot of music, so that the sounds of peace continue to be heard throughout the Colombian territory,” concluded the Artistic Coordinator of the PSCP – UIS.

The event is open to the public with free admission.
