
Until Saturday, April 12, the first stage of the Zonal phase of the Ascun University Games is scheduled and the UIS will be represented in women’s volleyball, while the men’s team will compete in soccer, indoor soccer, basketball and volleyball.
This Wednesday at 8:00 p. m. the Women’s Volleyball Team will face the Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga (Unab) at the UIS Coliseum. The team coached by David Vera has two wins and one loss so far and is close to secure their qualification to the next stage.

On the same day, but starting at 4:30 p.m., the men’s indoor soccer team will play against the Universidad Cooperativa de Colombia (UCC) at the Coliseo Sol de Aquino of the Universidad Santo Tomás (Usta). So far, UIS has won twice and lost once.

On Thursday the action will be focused on the Men’s Basketball National Team when it faces the Santander Technological Units (UTS) at the UIS Coliseum in a game that could bring the qualification to the National Championship closer. The game will start at eight o’clock in the evening.
On Friday the program will start at noon at the Primero de Marzo Stadium with the match between UIS and UTS. If the Men’s National Soccer Team wins, it will qualify directly to the National Championship and if it loses, it will be in the Regional Championship in Tunja.

At 6:00 p.m. the Men’s Indoor Soccer Team will play its last match against Usta and there it will be defined to which stage it qualifies. This match will also be played at the Sol de Aquino Coliseum.
The day will end at 8:00 p.m. with the men’s volleyball match against Unab. This team will have its final date on Saturday at 4:00 p. m. against Usta. Both games will be at the central campus of the university.
On April 12, the program will conclude at 8:00 p.m. at the UIS Coliseum with the men’s basketball game against Usta.
The programming of the Zonal phase will continue after Easter with the participation of the Women’s Basketball and Soccer National Team, 3×3 Basketball, Field Tennis and Chess.
