The Mission 6.0 Calls in the Basic Scientific Research modality, the General Basic Scientific Research call and the Research for our Well-Being call will close this Friday, April 4, 2025, according to the schedule established in the Research and Extension Strengthening Plan of the Universidad Industrial de Santander.
Mission 6.0 Calls for Proposals: Basic Scientific Research Modality
In response to the institutional challenge defined in Mission 6.0: “Contribute to the construction of a sustainable region in balance between nature, the productive sector and social welfare”,
the UIS opened this set of calls for proposals to finance research programs and projects aligned with this purpose and with the five agendas defined by Mission 6.0: Synergies between the countryside and the city: closing gaps, food and water to sustain life, energy transition and sustainable productive diversification, quality education, healthy living and coexistence in democracy, and reconciling humans with nature.
This Friday, the call for applications closes in the Basic Scientific Research modality, a category defined by Minciencias, which includes experimental or theoretical work aimed at generating new knowledge on the foundations of phenomena and observable facts. These studies do not seek immediate applications and may belong to any area of knowledge.

General Basic Scientific Research Call for Proposals
This call is aimed at basic scientific research projects that, due to their nature, do not fall within the Mission 6.0 agendas. Five proposals will be funded, each with a maximum amount of $60,000,000 and a duration of up to 18 months.
The schedule for this call follows the same established for the “Basic Scientific Research” modality of Mission 6.0.
Call for Research for our Well-Being
This call promotes research in pedagogical innovation and in the lines defined by the Mental Health and Gender Equity Policies of the Universidad Industrial de Santander.
Research teams may submit proposals on the following topics:
- Pedagogical innovation
- Gender equity (according to the components of the institutional policy).
- Mental health (according to the axes of the institutional policy).
3 proposals in pedagogical innovation, 1 in gender equity and 1 in mental health will be financed, all with an execution period of 18 months.
