Registration is open for the election of the Alumni Representative to the Superior Council

The Universidad Industrial de Santander invites all graduates of the University who want to be part of the highest governing body of the University, to register for the election process of the Alumni Representative to the Superior Council.

Applicants who wish to register must comply with the following requirements and attach the following documents:

Requirements: To be a graduate of the UIS. At least five (5) years of professional experience. Not having at the date of registration linkRequirements To be a graduate of the UIS. Not having at the date of registration any labor or contractual relationship with the Institution. labor or contractual relationship with the Institution.Registration: Communication stating the intention to participate in the process.3 x 4 cm photograph.Photocopy of citizenship card.Completed commitment form (can be found through the Institutional Web portal). Certificate of professional experience.

The registration communication must be sent from the applicant’s e-mail account to the e-mail address of the General Secretariat of the University (sgeneral@uis.edu.co). It must indicate the applicant’s free and informed will to register as a candidate, his/her name and surname, identification document, e-mail address, academic program from which he/she graduated and the name of his/her supervisor, who must meet the same requirements as the applicant, except for the 5 years of work experience. To complete the registration, the applicant and his/her supervisor shall sign the commitment to abide by the decisions of the Electoral Committee, through the registration form.

Timeline for the election:

2024
November 18Beginning of the period for registration of candidates, at 8:00 a.m.
November 18Beginning of the period for updating and information for the formation of the Alumni Electoral Census.
November 22Closing of the period for the registration of candidates, at 4:00 p.m.
November 27Confirmation of compliance with the requirements of the candidates, by the General Secretariat.
December 05Last day to file an appeal for rejection of candidates for non-compliance with the requirements.
December 09Publication of the final list of applicants.
2025
January 17Last day to request to be included in the Alumni Electoral Census.
January 23 and 24Voting via Internet, through the institutional web portal, from 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23 until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025.
January 24Scrutiny of the voting results at 4:06 in the afternoon.
