The Aula Maxima Auditorium of the UIS Barrancabermeja Campus was the venue for the Fourth Regional Forum of Candidates for the University Welfare and Enrollment Committees of the Universidad Industrial de Santander. This space for analysis and debate allowed students and faculty to learn first hand the proposals of the candidates and discuss key issues related to student welfare and enrollment policies.

During the event, each candidate presented his or her vision and proposals focused on strengthening student support programs, improving welfare conditions at the university and optimizing enrollment processes. Attendees actively participated with questions and reflections on the challenges facing the university community.

“Spaces like this are fundamental for the university community, as they allow us to learn first-hand about the proposals of those who aspire to represent us in the committees. It is important that we students actively participate in these processes, since the decisions made in these spaces directly influence our well-being and academic development. We thank the UIS for promoting these meetings for dialogue and debate,” said Sergio Vanegas, student representative to the Academic Council of the campus.

This forum reaffirms the commitment of the UIS to democratic participation, ensuring that the voices of students and faculty are heard in making decisions that impact their academic and personal development. The activity represented a key step in fostering a university community that is informed, participatory and committed to the continuous improvement of the institution.
