Rigorous supervision means that the works are done well and on time, thus ensuring that public resources are used efficiently. Under these premises, Rector Hernán Porras Díaz, accompanied by Iván Rojas Camargo, head of the Physical Plant Division, made a tour to review the progress in the construction of the new building where the UIS Language Institute will operate.

The new and modern structure will have four levels in an area of approximately 7 thousand square meters, in addition to having 40 classrooms and seismic-resistant standards for the proper and safe use of the university community, which will expand coverage and provide greater comfort for better learning of foreign languages with high quality indexes.

During this Friday, the progress of the construction of UISALUD’s Block B was also supervised, which will soon house the entire administrative area.

With this building, adjacent to the current headquarters, it will be possible to expand the provision of first and second level services in the central campus, offer greater comfort to users and thereby consolidate the tradition of quality and timeliness that UISALUD has always offered to its contributors and beneficiaries.

The tour ended on the western side of the campus, where the execution of the work that will allow the UIS to have a new and sophisticated Natural History Museum was reviewed.

This will be a very visual, interactive scenario with state-of-the-art sound specifications that will serve to deepen knowledge in biology, both for the university community and for the general public.
