The II Feminism and Philosophy workshops will take place on March 8th

With the aim of making visible the work of women philosophers and to show the topics to which they dedicate and promote, the School of Philosophy is holding the II Feminism and Philosophy Day, as part of the celebration of Women’s Day, on March 8th.

The activity will be divided into two days, morning and afternoon. The first begins with a lecture by Alba Jiménez, professor at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Complutense University of Madrid, and her talk “Imperative normal and praktische anwendung”.

The next session will have the participation of the PhD candidate in Philosophy, Tatiana Afanador, who will speak on Becoming cyburg. This will be followed by the interventions of Manuela Fernández and Camila de Gamboa, with the lectures “Commercial science and its effect” and “Violence and damage in the conflict: some reflections on how to contribute to repairing them”, respectively.

The day begins at 10:00 a.m. and will continue until 5:00 p.m. At the end there will be an award ceremony for the short essay contest.
