The ESE Hospital Universitario de Santander (HUS), the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) and the Government of Santander, as the only official sources, are pleased to inform the community that from November 1 to 30, 2023 is open the call for registration for the Medical Mission Milwaukee (Wisconsin) to be held in the institution from February 19 to March 1, 2024.

This call is especially aimed at the vulnerable population of Northeastern Colombia, who for economic reasons cannot have access to surgical procedures and who present congenital malformations of the plastic surgery specialty, such as: cleft lip, cleft palate, nevus, neurofibromatosis, hand and facial skull malformations, burn sequelae and sequelae of cancer.

Those interested in registering may do so on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the Plastic Surgery Services office located on the 5th floor of the institution from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. They must present the medical history, photocopy of identification document, in case of being a minor, document of the minor and the guardian.

This international mission, which is led in Santander by the ESE HUS, with the support of the Government of Santander and the UIS, will be attended by plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, surgical instrumentalists, physiotherapists and medical students in the area of Wisconsin, USA.
