With the aim of exploring possible cooperation agreements between the UIS and German universities, with a view to strengthening academic and professional collaboration between the two institutes, the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) received a visit from Professor PhD. York Roessler, a leading academic at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, and CEO of Egeria Consulting.

The initiative for this exchange arose thanks to the intermediation of Rafael Ortiz, a graduate of the UIS and current President of the Colombian Association of Engineers (ACING), together with Luis Fernando Prada, also a graduate of the Santander university. “Both have been instrumental in building bridges that allow interaction and the development of joint projects between educational institutions in Colombia and Germany,” said Liliana Castro, Director of External Relations UIS.

Professor Roessler, who has extensive experience as a management consultant and lecturer at several universities in Europe, has taught in countries such as Germany, Italy and Croatia. His presence at the UIS represents a valuable opportunity for students and academics of the institution to benefit from his experience and international perspective.

During his visit, Roessler held meetings with academic and administrative leaders of the university, where potential areas of collaboration were discussed, including academic exchanges, joint research projects and training programs. UIS, recognized for its commitment to quality education and innovation, seeks to strengthen its international network and offer its students new opportunities to enrich their professional training.

This meeting marks a significant step in the construction of strategic alliances that contribute to the academic and professional development of the university community, positioning the UIS as a reference in international cooperation in the educational field
