With a recital of Colombian music in the cycle of “Spring Concerts 2025” of the University of Valencia, Professor Robinson Giraldo, attached to the School of Arts of the UIS, made an outstanding presentation in Spain. He was accompanied on stage by Juan Camilo Reyes on the piano, a Colombian musician based in this country.

This musical program is led and coordinated by the “Aula de Música” program, attached to the Vice Rectorate for Culture and Society of this prestigious Spanish educational institution. It is intended to promote the dissemination of musical culture among the members of the university community and, by extension, to project this dissemination to the society in which the University of Valencia is inserted.

The concert program was held in the Sapiencia Chapel, located in the Nao-UV Cultural Center, and featured traditional works of Colombian folklore in an unpublished adaptation for the instrumental format bass trombone and piano.

“For me it is very gratifying to be able to participate in this type of cultural agendas of the city of Valencia, because they give me the opportunity not only to talk about the UIS, but also to contribute to the dissemination and preservation of our Colombian music. Likewise, this participation is important, because I had to go through a previous selection process”, says Giraldo.

Professor Robinson is currently pursuing doctoral studies in the Art: Production and Research program at the Polytechnic University of Valencia.
