Chaired by the headquarters coordinator, Engineer Andrés Mauricio Montes Tenorio, the Public Accountability Hearing for the year 2023 was held at the UIS Barrancabermeja headquarters. Within the framework of the space, which lasted in the auditorium Aula Máxima and is considered an exercise of transparency and institutional dialogue, Montes Tenorio presented to the student community the results obtained during the period.

During the event, management results were presented in four fundamental areas: University Welfare, Regionalization, Training and Research, pillars that reflect the institution’s commitment to the academic and social development of the Magdalena Medio region.

Andrés Montes, coordinator of the headquarters, highlighted the importance of this space as an opportunity to reflect on achievements and future challenges: “Accountability is not only an institutional commitment, but also an exercise of closeness and listening to our community. It allows us to reaffirm our commitment to excellence and regional development,” said Montes.

“The accountability allowed me to understand all that the university does for us beyond the classroom. Seeing the advances in welfare and regionalization makes me feel proud to study in an institution that really cares about our training and the development of the region. These spaces are important because they connect us with the management of the UIS and motivate us to continue contributing as students: said Miguel Morales, fourth semester student of Electronic Engineering.
