The inhabitants of Malaga and neighboring municipalities are preparing to start the Christmas season with the great event “Fiesta de las luces”, led by the Universidad Industrial de Santander in coordination with the Mayor’s Office of this municipality.
The talented group of dancers from the UIS, under the direction of Néstor Sánchez, will arrive in the municipality of Málaga to delight residents and visitors with a vibrant display of folklore and traditional rhythms that highlight our cultural richness.
Magda Vargas, Coordinator of Student Welfare at the UIS Malaga Campus, extended an invitation to the university community and inhabitants of the region to participate in this great show that will grace the beginning of the month of December.
“The UIS through its outreach programs, reaches the Regional Headquarters with the Festival of Lights and the invitation is for the families of Malaga, friends and neighbors to join and participate in this event and other activities to be held this Saturday from 7:00 pm,” said Magda Vargas.
For his part, the teacher Néstor Sánchez, also reiterated the invitation to the entire region and stressed that the dance group is composed of students from different careers of the UIS that with their folkloric rhythms will grace the night.
The event will be held this Saturday, November 30 from 7:00 pm at the Custodio García Rovira square in Málaga.
