With the participation of teacher delegates from 20 primary and secondary education institutions in Santander, Antioquia, and Cundinamarca, the first planning meeting for the educational and communication proposal Paidópolis: “The City and Country of Children,” broadcast by UIS Radio Stations, was held.
This new meeting provided an opportunity to learn about the expectations of new and returning members of the radio groups, who hope to continue learning and motivating their communities to participate, thus energizing classroom work through diverse and varied topics.

On this occasion, the institution that hosted the delegations was the National Technical Institute of Commerce. Its principal, Yolanda Roa Camacho, mentioned the valuable contribution the program and project make to the institution and its children. In previous years, she actively participated in the radio program, which can be heard on 670 kHz UIS AM (New Radio) and 96.9 MHz UIS Stereo (The Voice of the University).

Among the delegations present were teachers from Nuestra Señora del Pilar, Santa María Goretti, Dámaso Zapata, Oriente Miraflores, Politécnico, Aurelio Martínez Mutis, and Nuestra Señora de la Paz Integrated School in Betulia; the National Institute of Commerce, Salesiano, Bosconia, the Normal Superior School of Piedecuesta and Bucaramanga; and the Instituto del Oriente in Piedecuesta; and the Luis Eduardo Díaz School in Yondó, Antioquia. Likewise, a large delegation from the different locations of the Las Mercedes Integrated School in Matanza and, virtually, from the Kirpalamar Educational Institution in Arbeláez, Cundinamarca.

During the meeting, the results of the work carried out in 2024 were presented, as well as the participation of educational communities using each of the tools available to them in the development of this program that teaches, promotes, and presents meaningful experiences that impact those in the classroom and those listening through analog and digital channels.

As part of the challenges for 2025, the Paidópolis team, led by César Roa, a professor at the School of Education and director of the program, is considering the addition of new groups and everything that is involved in keeping this program on the air. In the words of attendees, it is enriching, transforming, and worthwhile to continue working together to reach many more people.
