More than 30 educational institutions benefited from the project ‘La Casa De Coco’

La Casa de Coco, which was born as a result of the pandemic in the Rural Institution El Paulón, Bucaramanga, Santander, and which had 15 broadcasts, has a new radio season. This educational initiative counts in its second season with the support of the Mayor’s Office of Bucaramanga and the Universidad Industrial de Santander.

‘La Casa de Coco’ is starred by an alligator named Coco and is based on bringing content to children in remote areas of the municipality where only the radio signal is received, which allows a didactic, creative and different accompaniment in the schooling process.

The project aims at implementing a flexible education strategy to address the effects of Covid-19 in vulnerable school environments and will be implemented in 32 educational centers located in rural areas and communes 1 and 2 of Bucaramanga.

It is worth mentioning that students will be provided with didactic materials, which began to arrive today, February 22nd, at the Centro Educativo Rural el Playón, with the purpose of advancing in the different educational levels, from preschool to high school. Likewise, 209 teachers will receive a bag with didactic elements such as: danger meter, coco-theater, pillow, coconcentrate, games, let’s build solids, sing with coconut, universe of questions, stories and tales. The pedagogical work involves children, rectors, coordinators and teachers from the city’s official schools. All the schools in the rural sector participate in this educational proposal, for a total of 32 official educational institutions.
