For 39 years, UIS students and professors have been part of the academic and humanitarian exchange with the Medical College of Wisconsin, located in Milwaukee, United States, as part of the inter-institutional agreement established between the two institutions.
On Monday, February 17, the Milwaukee Wisconsin Medical Mission will perform a final assessment for surgical interventions at the University Hospital of Santander with the support of UIS professionals.
The medical mission, formed by plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, neurologists, residents, surgical instrumentators, will exchange learning with residents and professors of the Specialization in Plastic Surgery: Reconstructive and Aesthetic of this house of studies.
For the Faculty of Health of the UIS represents a great pride to receive this mission that seeks to improve the quality of life of hundreds of vulnerable people who require these surgical procedures.
Thanks to the community of Santander for attending this call, there are more than 400 people registered
