UIS restarts free sample collection for Covid-19 identification

In order to contribute to the identification of positive cases generated by the fourth wave of COVID-19 infections and the impact that the Omicron variant has had, the Universidad Industrial de Santander restarts the collection and processing of free tests for the identification of the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

From January 31 to February 5, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 m., the Santander community will be able to take the saliva sample free of charge.

Below, we present the date, place, time of the sample collection and the population to which each day is assigned.

Sampling dates for the Santander community

Monday, January 31st

Thursday, February 3rd

Saturday, February 5

Time: 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 m.

Place: Facultad de Salud, carrera 32 # 29-31

Sample collection date for the UIS community

Tuesday, February 1st

Wednesday, February 2nd 

Friday, February 4th

Time: 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 m.

Place: Carrera 27 calle 9

To keep in mind:

To take the test it is not necessary to have EPS

There is a limited number of places available at the time of the test

Priority will be given to symptomatic people 

It is required to fill out the informed consent form.

It is recommended not to smoke, not to ingest food or drinks, and not to brush your teeth one hour before the sample is taken. Results will be sent by e-mail
