Gloria Blanco, who graduated in Nutrition and Dietetics from Universidad Industrial de Santander in 2002, will be the new guest on the program “A Coffee with Graduates”.
After graduating from the UIS, Gloria worked as a food service administrator at Termotasajero Company in Norte de Santander, in charge of managing the food and nutrition services of PETROCASINOS S.A. There she provided nutritional consultation and managed programs offered to the company’s workers as support to the occupational health group.
Currently, she lives in the United States. From 2003 to 2010, she worked at a private clinic in Houston. Subsequently, from 2011 until 2020, she worked in a program with the Houston Health Department called WIC, Women Infants and Children, a supplemental nutrition program that works with pregnant, breastfeeding, and postpartum women, and newborns up to 5 years old.
Her work experience includes immunization screening studies, monitoring patient flow in the clinic, individual and group nutrition education, breastfeeding education, pediatric nutrition, customer service, among others.
