Excerpt from the poster of the university teaching specialization program.

In order to provide a space for professors to build pedagogical knowledge that allows them to know, understand, and transform their teaching practice, the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) enabled a new extended academic calendar for the call ‘SPECIALIZATION IN UNIVERSITY TEACHING’, which runs from January 17th to February 28th.
The call is aimed at professionals of all career paths who are interested in contributing to society by teaching. This is a graduate program, developed by the Center for the Development of Teaching at the UIS (CEDEDUIS). The curriculum is made up of three periods, and the degree awarded at the end of each is: Specialist in University Teaching.

Esperanza Revelo Jiménez, director of CEDEDUIS, extends an invitation to “all professionals who believe they can contribute from any area of knowledge to the training of new professionals in their areas with the added knowledge and value of teaching to use this opportunity to give a new look at what is and can be their professional contribution.”

Classes for the first academic period will begin on March 25th, 2022 and will be held in-person at the following times:

Friday, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.
