Mental health workshop for the UIS student community – words do matter, let’s talk: SANA-MENTE

From the Student Counseling program of the SEA – Academic Vice Rectory, in charge of the student counselors of the Faculties and the Faculty of Sciences of the UIS, the student community of the university is invited to participate in the Mental Health workshop “Words do matter, LET’S TALK: SANA-MENTE”.

Mental health lies in having an optimal emotional, psychological and social well-being, because mental health impacts our way of thinking, feeling, acting, the way we relate to other people, decision making and how we handle stress. Therefore, the purpose of the workshop is to encourage the student community to have a good mental health to increase productivity, improve physical health and attitude in the way we see things and relate to others.

The workshop is in charge of psychology professionals Diana Ayala, Paola Ramirez, Gabriela Espinel and Tatiana Remolina, who will talk about aspects related to mental health and its impact on different areas of life. It will be held at the Aula Máxima de Ciencias, on Wednesday, February 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
