Fifth session: sports and city building, scenarios and practices

This week the Low Maus Chair 2021-2 restarts its activities with the development of its fifth session. This Thursday, January 13, starting at 3PM, the relationship between sports and the construction of the city during the 20th century. The guests this time are Víctor Manuel Peña Melo and Raúl Mauricio Prada Solano, two graduates of the School of History who have conducted professional historical research on these topics.

This session will recognize the historical emergence of the main sports practices in Bucaramanga, with a special focus on the case of soccer, as well as the configuration of scenarios and infrastructure for its development, stadiums, sports units and everyday spaces. The session will be held in-person modality for the UIS community at the Ágora auditorium of the Faculty of Human Sciences.
