The Universidad Industrial de Santander continues to open spaces to dignify public higher education.
During the Academic Council held this Tuesday morning, spaces for students and teachers of postgraduate courses, and for alumni were put into operation.
The latter will have the Alumni House, in the Casona La Perla, equipped with coworking, meeting room and cafeteria to continue recognizing the UIS as their home.
According to Mario Andrés Betancourt Pinzón, alumni representative to the Superior Council, “these are spaces that we are opening, one in which there is a coworking space for 25 alumni, who will be able to use it; and a meeting room for 10 people. These services will be coordinated through external relations, the part of graduates, and soon will be announced what their policy of use will be”.

“As a complement to this Coworking space, the alumni association ASEDUIS has also wanted to work on behalf of all graduates and is currently implementing a cafeteria on the outside to be used from next month”.
For her part, Paola Andrea Ortiz Gómez, executive director of the UIS Alumni Association, a graduate of the Bachelor’s Degree in English, expressed her joy for these spaces that are opened for the enjoyment and services of those who carry in their academic history, the UIS seal.

“It is a space where we as graduates feel part of the university again, where we feel we have our place, where we feel we have where we can go, where we have a space to locate ourselves and to feel that we have always been part of the Universidad Industrial de Santander.”
The space will also have Wifi for 100 connections, hydration area in the coworking and satellite library. So, if you are a graduate, be attentive to the indications that will be announced soon so that you can enjoy these comfortable spaces.
