In an emotional ceremony, the Mayor of Floridablanca José Fernando Sánchez, presented the municipal recognition ‘José Elías Puyana’ to Daniel Blanco García, eleventh grade student of the UIS Foundation School, who excelled in the recent ICFES Saber Tests with a remarkable score of 448 points. This award represents the highest distinction granted by the municipal administration, celebrating the effort and dedication of young local talents.
Magda Yolanda Wilson Silva, Rector of Fundación Colegio UIS, expressed that this recognition “means great pride for our institution, as it reflects the constant commitment to academic excellence and the integral formation of our students”. Wilson emphasized the importance of preparing students not only in academics, but also in the development of competencies to face the challenges of life.
For his part, Daniel Blanco shared his enthusiasm upon receiving the recognition, stating that “this achievement is the result of a joint effort, of my teachers, my family and myself.
