With 954 votes (23.3%), Nicolás David Serrano Güiza was elected as the new Student Representative to the Superior Council for the 2024–2026 term. A total of 4,093 votes were cast for the Superior Council.
The results verification process took place at 4:06 PM on Wednesday, November 13, in the presence of the Electoral Committee, candidates, and observers, via the internet using the Teams platform.

The election was conducted through electronic voting on the institutional website www.uis.edu.co, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The election process for this representation was convened under Resolution No. 1431, dated September 26, 2024.
In the Student Elections for the University Welfare and Enrollment Committees, the “Blank Vote” Won
The student elections for the University Welfare and Enrollment Committees will have to be repeated, as the blank vote exceeded 50% of the total votes cast.
This outcome reflects the need for a new electoral process to select representatives for these committees, following the rules and guidelines established by the university.
