With the purpose of initiating the process of verification of the quality conditions, the School of Philosophy of the Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), awaits the visit of the academic peers appointed by the National Accreditation Council(CNA), in the framework of the evaluation for the renewal of the high-quality accreditation.
The academic peers officially designated for this process are: Universidad Santo Tomás professor José Guillermo Ortiz Jiménez (coordinating peer) and Universidad Católica de Oriente professor Milany Andrea Gómez Betancur (academic peer).
The official visit by the CNA delegation will take place on Monday, April 25 and Tuesday, April 26, through remote attendance and will include an extensive virtual program that begins with a meeting with UIS executives. There, the peers will learn about aspects related to the Institutional Project, academic processes, administrative procedures and benefits in general.
On the other hand, the directors of the School of Philosophy will attend a virtual meeting, where they will present the details of the academic program, the self-evaluation process, the presentation of the group of professors, the exhibition of the program’s facilities. There will also be a meeting with students and alumni of the School.
Finally, the academic peers will give their report to the representatives of the School, where they will present the positive aspects and those to be improved, in view of the renewal of the high-quality accreditation.
From the perspective of the Institutional Development Plan (PDI), the University advances in the process of internationalization, competitiveness, development, and improvement of each of its academic programs.
