Bucaramanga and Santander are preparing to experience, from September 1 to 11, the cultural festival with the most extended history and national and international recognition in the capital of Santander: 39°Festival Internacional de Piano UIS. This meeting that brings together families and friends is the most important piano benchmark in Colombia.
The Festival, which seeks to expand the practice and enjoyment of the piano, will feature the participation of international artists such as Francisco Escoda Patrón, pianist and pedagogue; Angela Jeong Hyun Kim, one of the rising young pianists who shows her versatility, through colorful imagination and intense musical expression; Karla Martínez, a graduate in music with a gold diploma in the specialty of piano at the Higher Institute of Art of Cuba, among others.
The piano celebration promises a festive air, inclusive and with wide possibilities for different audiences, always claiming the role of art as a transforming and transversal axis for learning, cultural exchange, and the enjoyment of spaces and creative ideas of art and music. culture.
Since 1984, this Festival has become the most distinguished event for the Universidad Industrial de Santander. It has been interpreted from the most extraordinary repertoire of classical composers, as the exciting musical notes of hundreds of artists worldwide. The International Piano Festival has achieved resounding adulthood and its permanence makes it a cultural heritage par excellence for Santandereans.
In this version of the festival, the best exponents of national and world pianism, full of colors and sounds from all latitudes, will be received both at the UIS and at different stages in the city and municipalities of Santander. Attendees will listen to representative music by Spanish composers, premiere works by important and renowned contemporary composers, and, of course, the beloved classics that have forever transcended the impenetrable barrier of time.
